Fresh Tomato Sauce

The best Argentine recipe for fresh tomato sauce.

In this post I will teach you how to prepare a delicious and delicious Raw Tomato Sauce, ideal to accompany all kinds of meats and meals.

Raw Tomato Sauce is a fresh dressing based on tomatoes, salt, olive oil and some condiments, which is very popular in the Argentine Republic, especially in the North Region.

It is used to accompany meats, empanadas and all kinds of regional foods, especially northern ones, such as humita en chala, tamales, locro, etc. Typical dishes of the cuisine of a Northern Region of the Argentine Republic.






To start making this simple recipe, you will need the following Ingredients:

• 3 ripe tomatoes well ripe.

• 2 cloves of garlic (optional).

• 50 ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

• Spicy paprika or Chile (or Rocoto) powder (optional).

• Black pepper in grain (optional).

• Sea salt.

Preparation of Natural Tomato Sauce:

Blanch the tomatoes, remove the skin, cut them in half and remove the seeds. Although this step is optional, it is convenient to obtain a sauce with better color and texture.

Grate the tomatoes, and place the resulting pulp inside a bowl.

Peel the garlic, remove the sprout, grate or chop finely and incorporate them into the preparation.

Add the salt, the olive oil, the pepper, the paprika and stir the preparation to integrate the ingredients until forming a homogeneous sauce.

Let the preparation rest at least one hour before consuming it.


Quick version of the Fresh Tomato Sauce:

Blanch the tomatoes, remove the skin and seeds (optional).

Cut the tomatoes into small irregular cubes and place them inside a blender.

Peel the garlic, remove the sprout, chop and place in the blender with salt, pepper, paprika and olive oil.

Process all the ingredients and pour the preparation into a bowl.

Let the preparation rest at least one hour before consuming it.






Tips:

• To preserve the Tomato Sauce, it is advisable to store it in a glass jar inside the refrigerator (or refrigerator).

• Due to the presence of fresh vegetables, it is advisable to consume the Tomato Sauce within 48/72 hours of having prepared it, and always keep it refrigerated.
